Bringing in the Sheaves

The farmers here have been very busy over the past week or more, and the observers have benefited by enjoying the beautiful landscape as the wheat fields are being harvested. It is a reminder to me that we have so much abundance in the land, so much to be grateful for and to never take it for granted. Enjoy the following scenes taken over the course of the past week in our comings and our goings...

~oil painting by Jean-François Millet composed in 1857

"For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills." ~Deuteronomy 8:7-9
