Of Birds and Bees...

...and fine dining and international cuisine, of nature and the outdoors, of gardening and reading, of cooking and experimenting with different foods, of encouraging and listening....
These are just a few things that come to mind when I think of fellow colleague, Kiirstin, who will be leaving our library for another one within the county. We celebrate this opportunity presented to her as we know it will bring new growth and valuable experience, however, we will all miss her in our community as she was such a friendly, cheerful asset to the library.
Yesterday three of us met at Kiirstin's house for a home and garden tour, followed by a Thai lunch at Bangkok Cuisine which we thoroughly enjoyed and will all highly recommend!

I have learned so much from Kiirstin over the past year or more but the biggest thing I have observed while spending time with her is this: She has a keen enthusiasm for the world around her and takes every opportunity to read, to learn and to gain knowledge, and to share that love of learning and the information gleaned with those around her in a kind and gentle manner....truly a gift!

Kiirstin does a great job of depicting books, many for the young adult readers, which you can read here.

Kiirstin, we wish you much success in your new endeavors, and God's blessings in all that you do!

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.
