'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.' Job 38:22
The rain we had yesterday turned into snow later in the afternoon and although I wasn't going to broadcast the fact: there is not a blade of green grass to be found here, and no indication that Spring is just around the corner.
It was, however, a beautiful drive to church this morning with the blue skies and sunshine glistening on the freshly fallen snow as we passed many horse and buggies on the road. It is difficult to capture on camera the beauty of this area, but I don't take it for granted and am so thankful for this little corner of the world that I live in.
The other day my friend M sent me an email with the title:
Magnificent, which I really wanted to share with all of you as it is so beautiful.
You can watch it here: Creation Calls sung by Brian Doerksen
It reminds me of the song that we sang this morning by Chris Tomlin:
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God...
