Winter Wonders

The sun is shining causing the snow to glitter like a million tiny jewels.
This morning, my hubby and I went for a drive to take in the beauty, then parked along the side of the road to take a hike on one of the snowmobile trails into the bush.
Ontario has the world's largest inter-connected snowmobile system with over 34, 000 km of trails. You can read more about the trails here
I am leaving for work now, but wanted to share some of our winter wonderland with you.
The scenery was truly pristine and pretty/prachtig,and to be outdoors in the beauty was exhilarating and invigorating. We observed the tracks of deer, raccoons, wild turkeys and rabbits as we heard the wood peckers and the chickadees in an otherwise quiet world.
Enjoy the beauty with me...(click on photos to enlarge)

sparkling like a star in our hand...
and melting like a snowflake.
Let us use it before it is too late."
